China’s Ferroalloys Export Increased Slightly in August

According to the statistics of China Customs, China’s ferroalloy export volume was 98,000mt in August, increasing by 6.5% M-O-M and 21% Y-O-Y. China’s total export volume was 819,000mt, increasing by 24.5% Y-O-Y from Jan to August.
The export sources and volumes were as the followings, Japan, 266,000mt, Korea, 163,000mt, Thailand 59,000mt, India, 47,000mt.
China’s ferroalloy import volume was 179,000mt in August, 2013, increasing by 31.6% M-O-M and 48% Y-O-Y. China’s total import volume was 1,290,000mt, increasing by 5.7% Y-O-Y from Jan to Aug.
The import sources and volumes were as the followings: South Africa, 782,000mt, Kazakhstan, 335,000mt, India 249,000mt, Finland, 99,000mt.
