Japan's import volume of high carbon ferrochrome went down in March

In March 2023, Japan's import volume of high carbon ferrochrome was 42,900 tons, a decrease of 7% month on month and a year-on-year increase of 10.2%. The quantity imported from South Africa was 17,700 tons, a decrease of 18.1% month on month. The quantity imported from Kazakhstan was 20,200 tons, an increase of 14.6% month on month.

From January to March 2023, Japan's total imports of high carbon ferrochrome were 155,700 tons, an increase of 6.7% year-on-year. The quantity imported from South Africa was 60,300 tons, an increase of 14.8% year-on-year. The quantity imported from Kazakhstan was 48,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 17.8%. The quantity imported from India was 8,500 tons, an increase of 17.9% year-on-year.
