Sources in the European low carbon ferrochrome market, who already experienced a USD0.03lb Cr depreciation last week, indicated that slow demand and sluggish end users procurement activity has driven the spot prices for the ferroalloy further down. European sources reported another USD0.03lb Cr depreciation in value for the material in early week trading and it is expected that the pricing trend may continue to trend downward. The current price for European low carbon ferrochrome 62%min is hovering between USD2.00-2.05lb Cr in warehouse Rotterdam, a USD0.03lb Cr decline.
