US’ rebar exports decrease in Jul m-o-m, y-o-y

According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 18,400 tons of rebar in July this year, decreasing by 28.4% compared to the previous month and also dropping by 27.5% from the same month a year ago. Among them, the exports to Canada accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 15,200 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 35.8% and a year-on-year drop of 18.9%. The exports to other destinations were not so many during the period. The value generated by these exports totaled around US$21 million, down by 26.7% month on month and by 13.6% year on year.
