Germany’s Takraf to supply equipment for Rio Tinto’s Simandou iron ore project

Takraf, a Germany-based industrial equipment company, has reached an agreement with Rio Tinto to supply an integrated In-Pit Crushing and Conveying (IPCC) and material handling system for the mining company’s Simandou iron ore complex in Guinea. The deal included the design, fabrication, and delivery of the IPCC and material handling system.

Besides, Takraf will deliver two IPCC systems equipped with two Takraf X-TREME class sizers and an In-Pit Secondary Crushing and Conveying (IPSCC) system equipped with four Takraf sizers.

According to Takraf, the design capacity of the crushing system is up to 13,200 tons per hour to achieve expected annual productivity.
