In February 2024, the total export volume of South African chrome ore was 1.648 million tons, an increase of 0.8% month on month and 39.2% year-on-year. Among them, 868,700 tons of chrome ore were exported to China, an increase of 19.5% month on month and 77% year-on-year. The export of chrome ore to Mozambique reached 612,300 tons, a decrease of 9.8% month on month and a year-on-year increase of 4.7%.
The total export volume of South African chrome ore from January to February 2024 was 3.2825 million tons, an increase of 29.6% year-on-year. The quantity exported to China was 1.5956 million tons, an increase of 44.9% year-on-year. The quantity exported to Mozambique was 1.2913 million tons.
