Baosteel Desheng installs VOD system for high-grade stainless steel production

Baosteel Desheng Stainless Steel Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Baowu Steel Group, has installed a new vacuum oxygen decarburization (VOD) system at its Fuzhou plant, developed by SMS group.
With an annual capacity of 417,000 tons, the system enhances stainless steel quality by efficiently removing carbon and other impurities. This upgrade supports the growing demand for high-quality materials in the automotive, aerospace, and construction industries.
The project was completed in collaboration with Baosteel Engineering and Technology Group Co., Ltd.
