US reports growth in Mar HRC exports

Statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC) showed that the US exported around 60,000 tons of hot-rolled coils (HRC) in March, hiking by 28% compared to the previous month but dropping by 9% from the same month a year ago.
Among them, exports to Mexico still accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 39,500 tons, a month-on-month increase of 19% and a year-on-year drop of 1.4%. Canada ranked second with 21,000 tons.
During the period, the export value was roughly US$63 million, up by 39% month on month and falling by 6.9% year on year.
