Ukraine’s pig iron & crude steel production grows in Jun m-o-m

According to statistics from the Ukrainian steelmakers' association Ukrmetallurgprom, Ukraine’s pig iron output reached around 662,000 tons in June, rising by 3% compared to the previous month and by 5.3% from the same month a year ago.
During the period, crude steel production dropped by 2.3% month on month and by 15.4% year on year to roughly 624,000 tons, and steel product output rose by 7% month on month but fell by 1.5% year on year to 563,000 tons.
In the first six months of this year, Ukraine’s pig iron output amounted to 3.7 million tons, a year-on-year hike of 6%. Crude steel output reached about 3.7 million tons, up by 5% year on year, and steel product output totaled approximately 3 million tons, a rise of 8% from the same period last year.
