Indonesia has announced plans to implement a single-window export system for strategic commodities through the state-owned platform PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI), with full implementation scheduled for January 1, 2027. The first products covered by the program will be coal, crude palm oil (CPO), and ferroalloys.
A transition period will run from June 1 to December 31, 2026, during which exporters may continue operating under existing commercial arrangements but must report export activities through the new system.
The government said the initiative aims to strengthen export oversight, improve foreign exchange management, and curb practices such as under-invoicing and transfer pricing. The three targeted commodity groups account for approximately US$66.1 billion in annual exports, representing about 23.4% of Indonesia’s total export value.
