Latin American steel exports to US increase in May

According to preliminary data from the US Census Bureau, in May, Latin American steel exports to the US totaled about 504,000 tons, increasing by 25.6% month on month.
Meanwhile, the export value amounted to about US$372 million. Among them, Brazil accounted for the largest proportion of Latin American steel exports to the US, with about 300,000 tons compared it was 195,000 tons in the last month.
In the same month, Mexico’s steel exports to the US totaled 168,000 tons, dropping by 1.7% from the last month.
