China's manganese ore imports down 25.3% in April M-O-M

According to Customs data, in April, China imported a total of 1,039,000 tons of manganese ore, with a decrease of 25.3% from March.

In April, the manganese ore imports fell greatly from March. From the port inventory data, in April the total port inventory decreased to 2.28 million tons from 2.56 million tons by the end of March, the fundamental reason is the significant decrease in imports. And subject to the domestic downturn market, manganese ore imports decreased in April should have been anticipated.

In April, the imports of manganese ore from South Africa, Australia, Brazil and Malaysia decreased.Import from South Africa was 344,000 tons, decreased by 140,000 tons from March. Import from Australia was 27.4 million tons, decreased by 138,000 tons from March. Import from Malaysia decreased from 97,000 tons to 69,000 tons. And because the price is too high causes no import of Brazilian manganese ore in April.
