On July 30th, South African company Glencore announced that its ferrochrome production for the second quarter of 2025 was 156,000 tons, a decrease of 44% compared to the previous quarter (2025Q1: 277,000 tons) and a year-on-year decrease of 48% (2024Q2: 302,000 tons). In the first half of 2025, Glencore's total production of ferrochrome was 433,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 28% (first half of 2024: 599,000 tons).
